\u201cAnd the laptop?\u201d I couldn\u2019t help asking.<\/p>\n
Dad smiled sheepishly. \u201cIt\u2019s in your room. Along with an apology letter from Sam and Leo.\u201d<\/p>\n
I felt a glimmer of hope. \u201cReally?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cReally,\u201d Dad confirmed. \u201cAnd I was hoping\u2026 maybe we could still do that lake trip? Just the two of us?\u201d<\/p>\n
