Kirk Cameron has joined the list of celebrities leaving California. The\u00a0Growing Pains<\/em>\u00a0actor announced his decision to leave the Golden State on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

He shared his decision to move from his home state came after witnessing California \u201cmoving in a particular direction for a long time\u201d and creating \u201cso much division\u201d.<\/p>\n

The father-of-six revealed he moved to Tennessee, partially because three of his grown children live in the state and partially because he was looking for a place that gave him a \u201chealthy freedom mindset.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf everything hits the fan and there\u2019s some serious economic problems and division going on, they want to be around people like they think who are all about God, family, and country. It\u2019s a really nice place to be,\u201d he told .<\/p>\n

Like it or not, Cameron discovered there are \u201ca lot of California refugees\u201d living in Tennessee.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s shocking how many Californians are here. And when I see them in the grocery store, I tell them, \u2018Don\u2019t California our Tennessee,\u2019\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n

Like his sister Candace Cameron Bure, many have left California \u201cfor safety and for security.\u201d Cameron believes that although Tennessee seems to have a high number of former California residents, its \u201cgood wholesome values and, equally as important, good whiskey\u201d make the state a more desirable place to live.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
