My Brother Proposed at My Wedding during My Bride’s Father-Daughter Dance – We Took Revenge

On my wedding day, a supposed celebration of love, my brother Jeff decided to steal the spotlight by proposing to his girlfriend, Emma, during my bride and her father’s dance. This wasn’t the first time Jeff had made everything about him — from his birth complications, which led to my parents doting on him, to his dramatic announcement of Emma’s pregnancy at my sister’s baby shower. But this time, it was different. My wife, Lily, and I had had enough. Earlier, my best man, James, had caught Jeff trying to sneak a jewelry store receipt, and when confronted, Jeff admitted he was planning to propose at my wedding. I had no choice but to ask him to step down as my groomsman. Despite the tension, Jeff went ahead with his proposal at the worst possible moment — right in the middle of our celebration, causing chaos. Lily and I then devised a plan for revenge.

Months later, when Jeff and Emma’s wedding came around, we executed our payback. We secretly faked the invitations, ensuring that no one showed up except Jeff and Emma. On their big day, as they waited for their guests, the only thing that arrived was a small wedding cake and a postcard with the message: “You took our special events, now we decided to take yours!” Jeff was furious, realizing the consequence of his actions. Though the situation initially caused more tension, Jeff eventually apologized, acknowledging his mistake. The whole ordeal taught us the importance of appreciating others’ moments and respecting boundaries. While the revenge may have been sweet, it also helped us mend our relationships and move forward with understanding and forgiveness.
